SITUATION: MILLER DYNASTY 400 TIGRUNNER The unit was overheating.
DIAGNOSIS/SOLUTION: Strip metal blown out, while blowing off the welder, we noticed the fan was not spinning. We took the front plastic cover off and fan blades would not spin. Dislodged the fan. Applied power to the unit fan, but it did not turn. Unplugged and measured ohms and it read open, when it should be 100 ohms. Verified that the fan is getting power to operate. A new fan will be installed. Weld tested and load bank-tests pulled desired amps up to max output. The foot pedal does cause the front display to intermittently pop up ‘remote’ but it does not interfere with the weld output.
